……… as they storm Ashangwa in Lafia LG for commissioning of palace, mosque, other events organize by Alh. Adamu Bawa, AA Ashangwa Oil and Gas Nigeria Ltd.
Ashangwa community in Lafia LGA of Nasarawa State was agog as prominent individuals, religion, traditional and political leaders stormed the town as Alh. Adamu Bawa Maku, the Managing Director of AA Ashangwa Oil and Gas Nigeria Ltd inaugurated projects he initiated in his community.
He received high commendations for his humanitarian activities and community development.
The commendations was coming from prominent personalities from within Nasarawa State and beyond as the Renowned Business Man built and commissioned palace and mosque in his immidiate community Ashangwa today Friday.
Aside the mosque, AA Ashangwa equally built church in the same community as well as provided lands for burial grounds for both Muslims and Christians in the area.
The commissioning ceremony of the mosque and palace which took place in Ashangwa today Friday also witnessed the wedding of four of his daughters.
The event brought together prominent personalities which includes the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State Engr. Abdullahi Sule who was represented by the State Commissioner for Water Resources Hon. Muhammed Ibrahim Agah Muluku, and the Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Dr. Danladi Jatau, who is the Chairman of the occasion.
Others are the Emir of Lafia Rtd Justice Sidi Bage Muhammed and Aren Eggon Rtd Justice Ahmed Ubangari Alaku, among other graded traditional rulers, Sen. Halilu Envulu-Anza, Nasarawa North, Alh. Yusuf Agabi, and the State CAN Chairman and his counterpart of JNI.
Also is the Chief Imam of Lafia Central Mosque Mal. Dalhatu Dahiru and the son of late Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, prominent Islamic scholar in Nigeria, Malam Nazir Sheikh Dahiru Bouchi who conducted the first two units congregational Juma’at prayers in the new mosque.
The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly Dr. Danladi Jatau who is the Chairman of the occasion welcome all who graced the event and wished them well just as he commended AA Ashangwa for the wonderful initiatives saying it will enhance the sustenance of peace and unity in the area and the State at large just as he hailed the Governor for his purposeful leadership and all inclusiveness in the State.
While appreciating AA Ashangwa for also building church for the Christians and donated two different lands for burial grounds for both Muslims and Christians he appreciated the Emir of Lafia for his peace building efforts in the State.
The Emir of Lafia Rtd Justice Sidi Bage Muhammed who called on other prominent individuals to give back to their communities said such efforts will go a long way in enhancing peace building and complementing government efforts thus blessed AA Ashangwa for the humanitarian gesture.
The State Governor Engr. Abdullahi Sule who spoke through Commissioner for Water Resources Hon. Mohammed Ibrahim Agah Muluku commended the donor for his humanitarian efforts and community development which he said was in line with his administration’s policy drive called on other wealthy individuals in the State to support government in such initiatives by giving back to the society.
Shortly after the inauguration of the mosque and the palace, the first juma’at prayer was observed led by Malam Nazir Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi who commended the donor and urged other well to do in the society to emulate.
At the Mosque a wedding fatiha was conducted as AA Ashangwa gave out four of his daughters in marriage.
They are Farida with Abdullahi, Basira and Abubakar, Aisha and Jafaru as well as Hafsat and Abdullahi respectively.
Speaking in an interview, AA Ashangwa said he decided to provide the two worship centre’s, and burial grounds for the two faiths to encourage harmonious coexistence calling on the people to always be their brother’s keeper at all times.
