The Minister of Defence, retired Gen. Christopher Gwabin Musa, has inspected Ranchers Bees Stadium, Kaduna, ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign flag-off scheduled for Saturday.
Musa, who is also Secretary of the Presidential Campaign Committee on Intelligence, assessed security arrangements, crowd management plans and venue infrastructure ahead of the event.
This is contained in a statement issued by Leah Katung-Babatunde, Special Adviser on Media to the Minister of Defence, on Wednesday.
The statement said Kaduna had concluded substantial preparations to host party leaders, delegates and supporters expected from across the country for the campaign flag-off.
It said local organising committees, security agencies and party officials were working together to ensure the smooth conduct of the event.
Speaking during the inspection, Musa assured President Bola Tinubu and the public that Kaduna was prepared to receive the President, party leaders and supporters.
The statement described the rally as the official commencement of the APC presidential campaign tour ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
