Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dr. Danladi Jatau, has flag-off of the Ward-to-Ward Youth/Women Engagement for Senator Wadada Youth Ambassadors in Kokona Local Government Area of the State.
The movement was aimed at moving door-to-door to intensify campaign for Sen. Ahmed Aliyu Wadada in Kokona LGA.
The Speaker who kick start the grassroots campaign mobilization for Sen. Ahmed Wadada Aliyu Governorship ambition called for unity among party members and drummed support for APC candidates.
The event, which took place in Garaku, Kokona LG attracted prominent political stakeholders in the area.
Speaking at the occasion, the Speaker Dr. Jatau appreciated God for the privilege and opportunity to be among the living stating that he is at the event to lend his support to the organisers of the Wadada Youth Ambassadors of Kokona.
He emphasized the importance of the engagement and the need for youths and women to remain united and focus.
“I’m here to give my support because of the importance of the event. I want to commend all the youths who are here and the entire people of Kokona for the initiative” he said.
The Speaker said that the people of Kokona are known for peace and unity urging them to sustain the spirit of togetherness for the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.
“We are known for unity, let us continue to be united for our victory come 2027”
Dr. Jatau described Senator Wadada as a friend, political associate and their own, noting that the people of Kokona have remained committed to APC.
“Senator Wadada is my friend, our own. We, the people of Kokona, are known for APC from top to bottom. I want to call on us all to support the APC” he said.
He charged the people to return to their various units and wards and work diligently for the success of the party.
The Speaker also commended the efforts of the Nasarawa State Governor, His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, for his love and commitment to the people of Kokona, particularly the road projects being executed in the area.
He specifically mentioned the Garaku-Dari road, which he noted had been completed, and expressed optimism that the Governor would fulfil his promise to construct the Bassa Road before the expiration of his administration.
“I want to commend the efforts of His Excellency, Governor Sule, for his love for Kokona and the road projects. The Garaku to Dari road has seen completed”
“His Excellency has promised to construct the Bassa Road. I’m sure that he will embark on it and complete that road before the end of his administration” he said.
The Speaker also made a cash donation in support of the campaign just as speakers at the event which include the Deputy Chairman of the LG, the party Chairman of the area and the SUBEB Secretary among others hailed the initiative and assured of their total support.
