Coalition of Youth Groups from Nasarawa South Senatorial District of Nasarawa State has reaffirmed its support for Dr Emmanuel Akabe, the State Deputy Governor, for the Nasarawa South Senatorial seat come 2027.
The coalition said that Akabe, a former Commissioner for Health, “is the most qualified and competent person for the Senate seat of the zone come 2027.”
Mr Abimiku Dangana, the leader of the coalition, declared the Youth Groups’ support during a press conference in Lafia on Thursday.
Dangana said that the coalition would mobilise support for Akabe to succeed in 2027 general election.
“We wish to state our resolve to tour the five Local Government Areas that make up the senatorial district to mobilise support to deliver Akabe to the Senate in 2027.
“We, the Coalition of Youth Groups from Nasarawa South, have convened this press conference today to make a profound declaration regarding the political future of our beloved senatorial district.
“After extensive deliberations, deep consultations, careful consideration of the political landscape and a thorough assessment of leadership qualities.
“We unequivocally affirm our unwavering support and endorsement of His Excellency, Dr Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe, the current deputy governor of Nasarawa State, for the Nasarawa South Senatorial District seat in 2027.
“Our decision is not merely a political statement; it is a reflection of the collective aspiration of the youths in Nasarawa South for visionary leadership, sustainable development and effective representation,” he said.
According to Dangana, Akabe is a man of exceptional character, intellect and proven capacity.
“Beyond his medical prowess, Dr Akabe has demonstrated remarkable administrative and leadership skills. He has contributed and is still contributing significantly to the state’s progress and stability.
“Dr Akabe has a proven track record, vast experience, deep understanding of Nasarawa South, calm and technocratic approach, national recognition and youth-friendly disposition,” he noted.
The coalition leader called on the citizens of the senatorial district to rally round Akabe to succeed in 2027.
Besides, he urged the All Progressives Congress (APC) to recognise Akabe’s contributions and provide him with the platform to serve the people at the highest legislative level.
“Let’s all unite to ensure that a leader of Dr Akabe’s caliber, with his wealth of experience, proven contributions and undeniable advantages, represents Nasarawa South in the Senate come 2027.
“Together, we can achieve the Nasarawa South of our dream,” he said.
