NILDS trains Nasarawa Assembly staff on General Legislative Procedures as 3 day workshop ends in Abuja

Staff of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly and that of the Assembly Service Commission has undergone three days training on general legislative procedures.

The capacity building workshop which commenced Tuesday this week was brought to a close today Thursday.

The training workshop was carried out by the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies NILDS at its headquarters in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

It was reported that during the training various paper presentations were conducted by professional resource persons to include.

“EFFECT DELEGATION: IT’S IMPACT/IMPLICATION ON STAFF PERFORMANCE/PRODUCTIVITY IN AN ORGANIZATION” by Samuel Oguche DD.DLSS-NILDS.

The second speaker Mr. David Osanaiye, NILDS director on Internal Audit centered his discourse on “PENSION PLANNING AND ADMINISTRATION’S”

While the third paper was on “LEADERSHIP STRUCTURE AND MANAGEMENT: MANAGING THE POLITICAL CLASS AND BUREAUCRACY OF THE ASSEMBLY INCLUDING STRESS AND BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT” by Dr. Omobolanle O. Lipede (Retired Director National Assembly Service Commission)

Other papers discussed ranged from issues of financial and administrative autonomy, policy formulation, retirement planning and management as well as human resources among others

It was further gathered that other activities that claimaxed the exercise was inspection of library department at NILD headquarters and presentation of certificates to the participants among others just as they were tasked to ensure that they step down knowledge gained in the workshop at their various places of assignments.
