The Campaign Council for Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s 2027 Nasarawa North Senatorial District, has urged registered members of APC in the zone to turn out in large numbers and vote for Sule.
Sen. Philip Gyunka, Chairman of the Campaign Council, made the call on Wednesday during the council’s campaign tour to Wamba Local Government Area.
It would be reported that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has fixed May 18 as date for the party’s senatorial primaries.
The council visited Wamba Headquarters and Farin-Ruwa Area Administrative Council.
Gyunka said voting for Sule on May 18 would enable him to win the senatorial primary and emerge as the party’s flag bearer for the zone.
He also assured residents that Sule would provide effective, quality, and sound representation if elected Senator.
Gyunka appealed for public support to ensure that the legacy of the Sule-led administration “is sustained beyond 2027.
“We are appealing to you to come out en mass and vote for Gov. Abdullahi Sule, during the senatorial primaries of our party.
“His Excellency, Engr. A.A. Sule, will attract more federal government’s projects to Nasarawa North if elected senator.” he said
He urged registered APC members not to allow desperate politicians to mislead them into making the wrong choice.
Also speaking, Director-General of the Campaign Council, Mr Bala Moses, urged the electorate to remain firm in their political direction, noting that decisive action was needed to save the district from divisive politics.
Moses said Sule was committed to sustaining his development strides, if elected to the Red Chamber of the National Assembly.
He added that only voters with party membership cards would be allowed to vote or be voted for during the primaries.
On his part, Director of Youth Mobilisation and SUBEB Chairman, Kassim Muhammad, announced that 1,000 new teachers would be employed by the state government.
He emphasised that Sule had approved the recruitment of competent teachers to support ongoing reforms in the education sector.
Also speaking were former Chairman, National Population Commission, Mr Nasiru Kwarra; former Secretary to the State Government, Mr Timothy Anjide, and Executive Chairman of Wamba LGA, Mr Ezekiel Jagga,.
Others were Chairman, Governing Council of Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic Lafia, Gen. Isah Abbah (Rtd); Commissioner for Works and Transport, Mr Muazu Gosho; and Special Adviser to the Governor (SSG’s Office), Dr Justina Kotso.
They said Gov. Sule deserved appreciation for the laudable initiatives he had brought to the area and called on residents to continue supporting him.
Director of Legal Services and Compliance, Mbeto Gideon, and Director of Media, Publicity and ICT, Mr Mukhtar Wakeel, expressed confidence that Gov. Sule would provide quality representation, if elected.
They urged residents to vote for him during the primaries to ensure continued dividends of democracy.
It would be reported that other stakeholders, youths, and women pledged their readiness to support Sule’s senatorial ambition.
The council had earlier visited the Oriye Rindre of Wamba, Justice Lawal Musa Nagogo (Rtd), where the first-class traditional ruler prayed for Sule and wished him well.
He also urged the council to promote peace, unity, and development among the people.
