Nasarawa State House of Assembly has tasked the new management of Nasarawa State Internal Revenue Service (NSIRS) to redouble their efforts in order to improve on the Internally Generated Revenue ( IGR) of the state.
This, the House said, is to enable the state government provide more dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
The Chairman, House Committee on Finance and Appropriation, Hon. Hudu A. Hudu made the call when the management of the board appear before the committee on their 2026 budget performance today in Lafia.
Hon Hudu enjoined the management of the board to work hard to surpass the revenue generation and record of the previous administration.
He called on them to be prudent, transparent accountable and above all, have the fear of God while discharging their duties.
” I want to call on you to be discipline, prudent and accountable while handling the finances and other activities of the board,” he said.
Hon Hudu said that the state government uses revenue to provide basic amenities for the overall development of the state.
The Committee Chairman assured them of their support and collaboration in order to take the board to the next level of development.
Earlier, the Leader of the delegation and A Member of the board, Mr Ibrahim Hamza commended the assembly for the good synergy with the executive, saying that the effective synergy is yielding positive results in the state.

He appreciated the Committee for supporting the activities of the board to succeed.
Mr Hamza, however, solicited for more support of the Committee and Assembly to enable the board succeed to generate more revenue to the coffer of the state government.
