The Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has commended Gov. Abdullahi Sule for his giant strides in infrastructural development across the State.
This, the House also hailed the MD of NUDA for leaving above board saying that the infrastructural developments been carried out by the board are transforming the state capital to a bigger city.
Chairman, House Committee on Urban Development, Hon. Musa Saidu Gude, gave the commendation when the management of Nasarawa State Urban Development Agency (NUDA) appeared before the committee on their budget performance for the second quarter of 2026 in Lafia today.
The lawmaker said that the projects carried out by the agency including the state ultra modern secretariat, Lafia flyover, underpass as well as Akwanga underpass and the ongoing construction of projects across the state would bring developments across board.
“I want to appreciate His Excellency, Engr. A A Sule for his infrastructural development across the state.
“These projects have direct bearing on the lives of our people across the state” he said.
Hon. Gude also commended the agency for its good performance via standard work in the state.
“The successes recorded so far in the year under review is a good one and keep it up.
“I want to appreciate you for
providing quality and standard work in accordance with the contract terms.
“I also appreciate Gov. Abdullahi Sule for his support and for putting you and your team there to achieve his vision.
“And for you to contribute positively to the development of the state” he said.
The chairman of the committee said that the committee would be going on an assessment tour to inspect the ongoing projects across the state.
He assured of the committee’s support to enable the agency succeed.
Earlier, the Managing Director, Nasarawa State Urban Development Agency (NUDA), Engr. Mohammed Yahaya Wada, appreciated the committee for supporting its activities to succeed.
He also appreciated Gov. Abdullahi Sule for his continued support to the agency in achieving its milestones.
Wada said that the agency is currently reviewing ongoing projects, including the Lafia Urban Development Phase 3, and would come up with guidelines for ensuring that right things are done and making sure developers are strictly complying with NUDA’s master plan.
The Managing Director also said that the Agency, has intensified enforcement on illegal structures and unauthorized developments across the state especially Lafia, Karu and Keffi.
