As Muslim community set to celebrate this year’s Eid-el Kabir tomorrow Wednesday, Speaker of Nasarawa State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau Ph.D has felicitate with the Muslim community on this year’s Eid-el Kabir celebration and called for fervent prayers for the nation’s sustain peace, unity and progress.
The Nasarawa State Number Three Citizen also called for sustain prayers for government, leaders, the State and the Country at large as well as for the success of next year’s general election.
A statement by Press Secretary to the Speaker Jibrin Gwamna quotes the Speaker Dr. Danladi Jatau as urging citizens of the State to use the period to pray for peace, unity and development to thrive in the society and enhance their relationship with God and fellow human beings.
Speaker Jatau who underscored the significance of the festival of sacrifice the world over said there is the need for the period to be used for sober reflections through love, understanding, selflessness and sacrifice for nation’s peace, unity and prosperity.
He urged people especially the well to do in the society to use the period to support the less privileged ones to give them sense of belonging.
While congratulating the Muslims on this year’s Sallah celebration, Speaker Jatau called for peaceful and successful celebration as he emphasized the need for all to be law abiding citizens and remain committed to constituted authorities.
