The New Accountant-General of Nasarawa State, Dr Musa Ahmed, has said that he will consolidate on the prudent, transparent and accountability programme of the present administration of Gov. Abdullahi Sule for economic prosperity of the state.
Ahmed, a former Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, made the pledge while speaking shortly after he visited the Speaker of the State Assembly, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi in Lafia on Wednesday.
He appreciated the governor for finding him worthy to serve as the State Accountant-General.
He promised to deliver on his mandate and justify the confidence reposed in him by working hard to make sure that prudency, transparency and accountability remained his watchwords.
“To enhance the economic prosperity of the state in line with Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s agenda,” he said.
Ahmed, who is also the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), said that he was at the Speaker’s place to officially notify him of his appointment as Accountant-General of the state
“To seek for synergy and support from the assembly for the betterment of the state,” he said.
Responding, the Speaker congratulated the new Accountant- General of the state and wished him well.
He noted that he had full confidence in his capacity and ability to deliver, considering his worth of experience in governance and as a seasoned accountant.
The speaker assured him of full support to succeed for the overall development of the state. (NAN)
