has harped on the importance of education of children and frown at the attitude of children begging in the streets in the name of education.
He said, “we cannot educates our children by leaving them begging round streets of cities and town”.
The Sultan made the assertion at the commissioning ceremony of the Zamfara State Almajiri Integrate Qur’anic Education Center Gummi held in Gummi on Sunday.
” I am not a politician but I’m here because of the important I attached to the programme to me and community at large”. He said
Qur’anic Schools are centers where religious education and values were inculcated to children, but the only source of concern was begging among almajiri students.
Construction of Integrated Schools is very critical to needs of society as it go a long way in addressing out of school children and end begging in the name of learning.
He said every Government must put education at the forefront believing that all good things come from education and all bad were from ignorance.
In his remarks Zamfara State Gov. Dauda Lawal said as a government we will safeguard the feature of younger once thereby creating enabling environment for a brighter future.
He said the center we are commissioning is world bank intervention project through State Universal Education Board and two more it were constructed in Gusau and Kaura Namoda.
In addition to 6 class rooms of 45 students capacity and130 double bed space, 12 toilet facilities and kitchen. Also a vocational center to train children on wood work, sowing, Messing work among others.
He assured government commitment in providing adequate feeding and other wellbeing of the students.
The Governor then named the center after Sultan Sa’ad Abubakar 3rd.
The Gov. also commission the upgraded and renovated General Hospital in Nasarwa Burkullu in Bukkuyum Local Government Area, and Maru Genera Hospital which was also renovated.
