An Abuja based non governmental organization( NGO) Breakforth Nigeria with headquarters in Dublin, Ireland commenced its ‘Project 2000 Women Empowerment Program’ to mark the International Women’s Day celebration.

The country coordinator, Osere Daniels while distributing food items including bags of rice, garri and flour for purpose of small scale businesss, charged the women to make good use of the items to have stable source of income.

Daniel also promised that the organisation would continue the empowerment project in the coming weeks to ensure the targeted number of women are empowered in the next few months.

The guest speaker, Hon. Chinyere Ezenwokike who is the founder/CEO Tomorrow’s Women Development Organisation, educated the women on the basics and secrets of becoming financially independent just as she also empowered a few women with cash gifts for farming.

Ezenwokike who is also a partner on the project expressed satisfaction at the excitement and determination of the women to do their best with the opportunities they had been given.

As the current president of Rotary International Club of Abuja Sapphire (District 9125), Ezenwokike promised to train some women in baking in the coming weeks. (NAN)
