National Directorate of Employment ( NDE), Nasarawa State, has commenced Advanced Business  Training ( ABT) of 540 participants of Extended Special Public Work ( ESPW- 774, 000) jobs in order to enable them become self reliant and contribute their quota to the development of the country.

Mr Chris Bamsida, the State Coordinator of the agency stated this during a two -day Advanced Business Training( ABT) for the participants in Lafia,  Akwanga and Keffi respectively on  Wednesday.

He said that the training was to impact the participants with advanced entrepreneurial skills for the overall development of the country.

” This event was designed to conduct the Advanced Business Training ( ABT)  for previous participants of the Basic  Business  Training ( BBT).

” As exit strategy for the  Extended Special Public Work ( ESPW- 774, 000 jobs) in Nasarawa State.

” The event is aimed at impacting advanced entrepreneurial skills in you to enable you understand modern challenges of entrepreneurship and manage your business effectively.

” In this view, 180 participants are selected from each of the three (3) senatorial districts of the state.

” In the light of this, 540 beneficiaries are expected to be trained in the state,” he said.

Bamsida said that during the training, participants will be sensitized on motivation for entrepreneurship, marketing strategies, how to generate business ideas.

” Introduced to forms of business, your legal responsibilities as an entrepreneur, how to cost your products and services.

 ” To sale your skills at a profits, write feasibility study to obtain fund from financial agencies, etc.,” he said.

Bamsida has urged the participants to be committed and focused to actualise the objectives of the programe, become self employed and employers of labour’s in the state.

 He appreciated the state government for creating an enabling environment for NDE to achieve its goals in the state.

” I wish to thank the Director General, NDE  Mallam Abubakar Nuhu  Fikpo for having the interest of the state in conducting the Directorate programmes,” he added.

The coordinator has called on the state government, individuals and NGOs to support the beneficiaries in order to reduce unemployment and poverty in the state.

Responding, Mr Ewuga Anzari, a beneficiary, who spoke on behalf of other beneficiaries,  appreciated the agency for the training and promised to be good ambassador of the scheme. ( NAN)
