The National Board of Technical Education (NBTE) has accredited four courses offered by the Nacabs Polytechnic, Akwanga, Nasarawa State.

This is confirmed by a copy of the accreditation letter made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Akwanga by the Founder of the school, Mr David Abuluya.

The letter, dated Aug. 5 and signed by Arc. Ngbede Ogoh, the Director Polytechnic Programmes, NBTE, was addressed to Nacabs Poly management on behalf of the NBTE Executive Secretary, Prof. Idris Bugaje.

According to the letter, the four courses accredited are Electrical/ Electronic Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, Computer Science and Statistics.

Titled “Grant of Accreditation to Programmes”, the letter read in part:

“With reference to the Quality Assurance visitation carried out by the board to your institution from 21st to 22nd June, 2022.

“I am directed to inform you that the board has approved the accreditation of the following Programmes offered by your institution for a period of five years with effect from 2021/2022 session.

“ND Electrical/ Electronic Engineering Technology, ND Computer Engineering Technology, ND Computer Science and ND Statistics”.

Reacting to the development, Abuluya expressed gratitude to God and NBTE for the approval.

He assured of his continued commitment to maintain standard in the institution in the interest of the education sector and the society in general.

“Nacabs Polytechnic Akwanga is well known for its academic excellence and standard.

“By the Grace of God, I will continue to maintain standard in the school for the overall development of the education sector and the society at large,” he said.

The proprietor said that the school has modern facilities and qualified personnel for the development of the education sector. (NAN)
