Member representing Udege/Loko constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Onarigu Onah Kana has said that Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s developmental strides attracted him to join the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State.
Hon. Kana, the Chairman, House Committee on SDGs stated this in an event to formally welcome him into APC by officials of the Eight Electoral Wards of Udege/Loko constituency today in Mararaba Udege, Nasarawa LGA.
He said that Gov. Sule meant well for the people of the State, adding that this was evident in his Infrastructural and developmental strides in the State.
” His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi Sule is doing well in the state” he said.
According to him, I have decided to joined APC after due consultation with stakeholders and other people of my constituency.
Hon. Kana said that he has decided to join the APC due to the developmental strides of Gov. Abdullahi Sule.
” And I want to add value to the development of APC in my constituency and the State at large.
” I will continue to do my best for the progress of APC and to ensure that APC come out victorious in Udege/Loko constituency and the state at large beyond 2027″ he said.
Hon. Kana assured of continued sound and quality representation at the state legislature.
” You know what I have done so far in the areas of education, employment, admission, water, infrastructure among others.
” By God’s grace, I will continue to do my best in order to continue to put smile in your faces and for the overall development of Udege/ Loko constituency.
” I will continue to lobby for more projects to Udege/Loko constituency” he said.
Hon. Onarigu said that he has no regret joining the ruling APC in the State.
The lawmaker called on the people of Udege/ Loko constituency to continue to support Gov. Abdullahi Sule and APC to succeed.
He also urged them to continue to live in unity, peace and tolerate one another irrespective of their affiliations.
Also speaking, Hon. Isaiah Agah, Nasarawa West APC Zonal Chairman, Halima Musa Ojoko, Deputy APC Woman Leader, Nasarawa LGA, Hon. Patrick Ebinny, former member representing Udege/Loko Constituency, Mr Tukura Koku, APC Chairman, Odu ward, Mr Danjuma Genesis Simon, APC Chairman of Guto Aisa among others appreciated Hon Kana for taking wise decision to join APC.
They also commended Gov. Abdullahi Sule for his developmental strides which attracted Hon. Kana and others to join the party in the State.
They have assured Hon. Kana of their prayers and support to succeed.
Hon. Yusuf Auta, APC Chairman, Nasarawa LGA said that the event was organized in order to officially inform the executive members of the eight electoral wards of Udege/Loko constituency of the defection of Hon. Kana from Social Democratic Party (SDP) to All Progressives Congress (APC)
Hon. Auta, represented by Arch. Dahiru Musa, the Deputy Chairman of Nasarawa LGA , expressed happiness with Hon. Kana for joining APC.
” We have call you the EXCOs of the eight wards of Udege/Loko consituency to inform you that our Hon. member, member representing Udege/ Loko, Hon. Onarigu Onah Kana has defected from SDP to our party, APC.
” We have officially received letter of his defection from his former party, SDP to APC and now he is our member” he said.
He said that Hon. Kana has joined the APC due to the good work of Gov Sule .
He assured Hon. Kana of equal rights and privileges in the State.
“From today, Hon. Kana is a full member of APC of Nasarawa LGA and Udege/Loko constituency” he added .
It would be reported that the event featured presentation of broom and APC flag, to Hon. Kana as member of the party in Udege/Loko constituency and Nasarawa Local Governance Area.
It would also be reported that Udege/Loko constituency is made of eight electoral wards.
