Member representing Udege/Loko Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Onarigu Onah Kana, has distributed 2000 bags of 5kg of rice and 2500 wrappers and cash to the people of his constituency in the spirit of Ramadan and Lent.
Onarigu, the Chairman, House Committee on SDGs distributed the items to the people of his constituency today Monday in Nasarawa LGA.
He said that he decided to distribute the rice and cash in order to put smile in faces of his people and to also improve on their standard of living before, during and after the Ramadan and Lent period.
According to him, today, I have distributed 2000 bags of 5kg rice, 2500 wrappers and cash each to 8 electoral wards that made up my constituency.
“This is to enable you celebrate Sallah with joy and to improve on your standard of living and that of your family members and others.
” I will continue to do my best for the people of Udege/Loko constituency and you are all aware of what I have done in the areas of employment, empowerment, assistance to the students, vulnerable ones among others ” he said.
Hon. Onarigu urged the beneficiaries not to sale the items but use them to improve on their standard of living.
The lawmaker solicited for prayers and support of the people of his constituency to enable him succeed beyond 2027.
Hon. Onarigu commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Gov Abdullahi Sule for their developmental strides across the state.
” His Excellency, Gov. Abdullahi Sule is doing his best for the development of the state such as flyovers and underpass in Lafia, Akwanga and Keffi LGAs among other infrastructures” he said.
Besides, Hon. Onarigu called on the people of his constituency to continue to give their maximum support and cooperation to Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s administration to succeed.
He called for unity among APC stakeholders in the constituency for the progress of the party beyond 2027.
The lawmaker further urged stakeholders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State to be patience and wait for Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s directive ahead of party primaries.
” Please let’s us wait for the directive of Gov. Abdullahi Sule on who he want him to be our APC Guber candidate ahead of 2027 general election” he said.
In his welcome address, Hon. Patrick Ebenny, former Member representing Udege/ Loko Constituency lauded Hon. Onarigu for the gesture and prayed God to bless him abundantly.
“Honourable Kana, you are making us proud for putting smiles on the faces of our people.
“What you are doing will add value to the progress and development of the party in the state” he said.
The former lawmaker, who is also the APC Deputy Chairman, Nasarawa Local Government Area commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Gov Abdullahi Sule for the good things they are doing.
He called on the people of the constituency and the state to continue to support Gov. Sule and APC to succeed.
Some of the beneficiaries, APC Chairman Odu ward, Mr Opula Luka Kwokpa, Mrs Babi Nuhu, Women Leader of Tunga/Bakonu Ward, Mr Umar Yusuf, APC Chieftain, Mr Hussein Ahmed, A Fulani man all appreciated the lawmaker for the gesture and assured him of their support to succeed at all times.
They said that Hon. Onarigu is making them proud via his people’s oriented projects and programmes in the constituency.
They assured Hon. Onarigu of their prayers and support to enable him succeed in his second term ambition come 2027.
