“… hails contractor on quality job…”
Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has commended the contractor handling the construction of 5KM Alushi/Awayi/Akpata road in Nassarawa Eggon LG for carrying out good, quality and standard work.
Hon Jacob Ajegana Kudu, Chairman, House Committee on NASIEC, Multilateral Cooperation and Community Development gave the commendation while inspecting the road today in Nassarawa Eggon LGA.
He said that the committee was happy with the quality of work done so far by the contractor and urged him to sustain it to the completion level for the overall development of the state.
The committee chairman also commended Gov. Abdullahi Sule for embarking on massive construction and grading of rural roads in the State.
This, the committee said would boost the agricultural and socio-economic development of the people, improve on their standard of living.
” We are here on an assessment visit in order to see things for ourselves with the view of correcting any deviation, if discovered.
” We have inspected and seen the work and we are satisfied with the quality of work done so far by the contractor.
” As the importance of construction of the road could not be overemphasized, it will boost agriculture, revenue base and the socio-economic activities of our people and other people plying the road
” It will also improve on the general standard of living of our people,” he said.
The committee chairman also appreciated Gov. Abdullahi Sule for his developmental strides in the state.
” His Excellency, Engr Abdullahi Sule is doing well in the state,” the committee chairman said.
Hon Kudu assured of the committee’s commitment to inspect construction of rural roads across the state in order to ensure that contractors adhere strictly to their project specifications.
Also speaking, Engr. Mustafa Yahuza Musa 11, the Director General of Nasarawa State Bureau for Rural Development appreciated Gov. Abdullahi Sule for construction of rural roads in the state.
” The road is of high quality. It is a standard construction that will stand a test of time,” he said
The DG assured of his readiness to supervise rural roads across the state to ensure that good and standard work are delivered by contractors for the overall development of the state.
Earlier, Engr. Mohammed Noureddin Alrawas of Sharafa and Noor Nigeria Ltd, the contractor handling the work said that the 5KM road was awarded at the contract sum of N950million.
He told the committee that he has received 60 per cent of the contract sum from the state government.
The contractor assured of continued quality work.
” We will maintain the quality till the job is completed as we are known for quality job,” he said
The contractor also assured to adhere strictly to project specifications.
