Nasarawa State House of Assembly today inspected 26 Solar Security Camera Lights installed by SDGS at the Governor’s Residence, Government House, Lafia.

The House also inspected the Solar Street Lights installed by SDGs from Total Filling Station to State House of Assembly Complex, Lafia.

Hon Onarigu Onah Kana, the Chairman, House Committee on SDGs led other members of the committee to inspect the Solar Security Camera Lights and Solar Street Lights today in Lafia.

Hon Onarigu ( SDP- Udege/Loko) said that the inspection was aimed at assessing the quality of the Solar Security Camera Lights and Solar Street Light installed with the view of correcting any abnormality, if discovered.

” We are here to see things for ourselves and to ensure that right things are done. This is part of our oversight functions.

” We have seen and we will invite the contractor handling the installation project for more clarifications on work done so far,” he said.

Hon Onarigu assured that the committee would continue to inspect SDGs projects across the state.

He appreciated Gov. Abdullahi Sule for being up and doing in providing infrastructure across the state.

The committee chairman urged the management of SDGs to continue to ensure proper supervision of its projects in the state.

He promised that the House will invite the contractor for discussion.

Earlier, Engr. Bello Abdullahi, SDGs staff in charge of the installation of the Solar Security Camera Lights and Solar Street Lights said that 26 solar security lights were installed at Governor’s Residence, Government House, Lafia.

He also said that the agency has so far installed 171 solar street lights out of the 230 proposed solar street lights from Total Filling Station to State House of Assembly Complex Lafia.

The engineer assured of good and quality works.
