Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, a former Governor of Kaduna State and staunch member of APC, says he no longer interested in any ministerial appointment.
El-Rufai was one of the 48 ministerial nominees who were screened by the Senate, but his nomination was not confirmed for the appointment.
After the announcement of the successful nominees by the Senate on Monday, El-Rufai paid a visit to President Tinubu at the Presidential Villa on Wednesday.
He had a closed-door meeting with the president along with Nyesom Wike, a former Governor of Rivers State.
Sources in the Presidency said during the meeting, El-Rufai informed President Tinubu that he was no longer interested in ministerial appointment and offered Jafaru Ibrahim Sani, his former commissioner, to replace his nomination.
He pledged his loyalty to the president, saying he would continue to support his administration.
