Former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami has spend second night in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Malami is being investigated for 18 alleged offences, including money laundering, abuse of office, and terrorism financing.
According to reports the EFCC has obtained a remand warrant for hjs detention in their facility.
Malami served under the eight years administration of former president, Muhammed Buhari.
Information from several sources indicated that Malami was handed the names of financers of terrorism in Nigeria by UAE, but Malami refused to act on it, instead, he sweept it under the carpet.
