High Court sitting in Jos on Tuesday dismissed an application by a former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Obadiah Mailafia, seeking to stop the Nigeria Police Force from investigating him.
Mailafia had filed the application after the police invited him to its Abuja headquarters following a radio interview he granted in which he accused a northern governor of being a leader of Boko Haram.
The former CBN deputy governor has been invited several times by the Department of State Services over the allegation.
The DSS claimed that the allegation was part of a calculated plot by some influential Nigerians to destabilise the country.
Mailafia recently declared his readiness to die as a matyr over what he described as his persecution by the DSS and some powerful forces for saying the truth.
