High Court sitting in Jos on Tuesday dismissed an application by a former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Obadiah Mailafia, seeking to stop the Nigeria Police Force from investigating him.

‎Mailafia had filed the application after the police invited him to its Abuja headquarters following a radio interview he granted in which he accused a northern governor of being a leader of Boko Haram.
‎
The former CBN deputy governor has been invited several times by the Department of State Services over the allegation.

The DSS claimed that the allegation was part of a calculated plot by some influential Nigerians to destabilise the country.

Mailafia recently declared his readiness to die as a matyr over what he described as his persecution by the DSS and some powerful forces for saying the truth. ‎
