Chief Adoji Aku-Aliku, the new Wakilin Eggon in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, has pledged to provide quality and responsible leadership that would promote peaceful co-existence.
This, the Wakilin Eggon, said would uplift the socio-economic and political wellbeing of his people and other ethnic nationalities in the area.
Aku-Aliku, who gave the assurance during his installation and coronation as Wakilin Eggon Karu, Karu Local Government Area of the State
said that providing sound and quality leadership would also improve on the standard of living of his people.
”I want to thank the Esu Karu, Chief Luka Payan Baba, for approving my appointment as Wakilin Eggon of Eggon community in Karu.
”I also want to thank the Madakin Karu, Chief Joseph Ali, other chiefs and stakeholders for their support which led to what we are witnessing today.
”I want to assure you, my people and other Nigerians of my readiness to provide quality and responsible leadership in the interest of peace and for the overall development of Eggon, Karu and Nigeria at large.
”I will ensure peace and unity of my subjects and other Nigerians as peace will continue to be my watch word considering its importance to human and societal development. Peace is priceless and non-negotiable.
”It is the necessary requirement for the development of every society,” he said.
Aku-Aliku also promised to lead with the fear of God in the interest of peace and for societal development, promising to carry everyone along while discharging his duties.
”I want to solicit for prayers and cooperation from all and sundry to enable me succeed in the task ahead.
”By God’s grace, I will not fail while performing my duties for peace, unity and development to thrive,” he added.
The Wakilin Eggon also urged his subjects and other Nigerians to continue to live in peace, be law abiding, be their brother’s keepers and respect constituted authorities in the interest of development.
Earlier, the Madakin Karu, Chief Joshua Ali while coronating Aku-Aliku as the Wakilin Eggon urged him to live above board while discharging his duties in the interest of peace and development.
He also advised the Wakilin Eggon to carry everybody along while performing his duties as he advised Eggon people in the area to continue to live in peace with their neighbours. (NAN)
