Prof. Mohammad Sani Haruna ( APC) , former Executive Vice Chairman, National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure ( NASENI) says he is competent and deserved to be the governor of Nasarawa state in 2027.
This he said, considering his developmental strides across the state and the country at large.
Prof. Haruna, aspiring to contest the governorship seat of the state in 2027 stated this in a meeting with APC stakeholders of 14 electoral wards of Nassarawa Eggon LGA on Tuesday
Prof. Haruna said that the meeting was to familiarise himself with the APC stakeholders in order to boost his forthcoming governorship campaign in the state.
The APC Guber Aspirant outlined his achievements , when he served as NASENI boss, said that he would bring more development to the state, of given the opportunity in 2027.
” I have distributed solar, donated transformers, laboratory equipment, sunk boreholes , gave employment, empowerment, payment of WAEC/ NECO, training of youths in different skills among others across the state, when in helm of affairs,” he said.
Prof. Haruna said that he would prioritize mineral power and sector agriculture among other sectors , if elected as governor in 2027.
He said that Nasarawa State is blessed with mineral resources while promising to tap them to create jobs and bring speedy development to the state, if give the opportunity.
” If God made it possible for me to be at the helm of Affairs in 2027 in the State, I will ensure judicious and optimal use of the state resources
” I will prioritize power sector as without electricity, many other things are in danger.
” Power is light as, if prioritized will create more jobs, boost business and standard of living of our people,” he said
Prof. Haruna also pledged to give attention to the agricultural sector among other sectors in order to boost food production, create jobs and improve on the standard of living of our people.
” So that no one will be hungry in the state,” he added
He also pledged to prioritize skills acquisitions in order to enable the unemployed youths and women become self reliant and for the overall development of the state.
The APC Guber Aspirant also urged eligible electorate to go and register with INEC in order to obtain their PVCs to vote competent and credible leaders in 2027 and beyond.
Prof. Haruna solicited for the support of the stakeholders and other people of the state to enable him succeeded in his Governorship ambition.
He advised his supporters to continue to embrace issues based campaign in the interest of peace and development.
” We encourage you not to insult anybody but to continue to focus on issues based campaign,” he said.
Also speaking, Hon Mathew Duniya, Chairman of APC, Nassarawa Eggon Local Government Area appreciated Prof. Haruna for the meeting aimed at familiarizing themselves with him ahead of his 2027 governorship ambition.
” I am happy that this meeting is for us to know you and for you also to know us.
” We pray for your success in your 2027 governorship ambition,” Duniya said.
Earlier, Hon Suleiman Angbashim, Chairman of the APC Stakeholders Organizing Committee said that the event was also aimed at drumming support for Prof. Haruna to succeed in his Guber ambition come 2027.
” This meeting is also to drum more support for you to enable you succeed in your 2027 Governorship ambition.
” We will continue to pray and mobilise support for you to succeed.,” he said
Hon Suleiman commended Prof. Haruna for his good leadership style, especially when he served at Executive Vice Chairman, National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure ( NASENI)
