Mr Mandy David Abuluya, the President Eggon Cultural and Development Association ( ECDA) Worldwide aid he met only 13 students at Eggon Community Secondary School, Nassarawa Eggon when he was elected President of the association in November, 2021
David Abuluya, who is the Proprietor, Nacabs Polytechnic, Akwanga Nasarawa State made this known while receiving handing over documents from the outgone president of the association, Mr Wilberforce Alaku at a handing over ceremony in Nassarawa Eggon on Saturday.
Abuluya said that he has declared free education from Junior Secondary School (JSS) 1 to 3 in the school.
According to him, this is to give the children of the less privileged access to education considering its importance to societal development.
“We thank God that now, we have a total of 615 students on ground due to the free education policy that I have declared since last year. This is to also complement government efforts in improving the standard of education in the state.
” However, I have received the handing over notes and document but I have told him that if there is anything that I did not understand, I will ask him for clarification,” he said.
The new ECDA President also disclosed that he met only 13 students and 2 teachers at Eggon Community Secondary School, Nassarawa Eggon when he took over the helm of affairs of the association last year.
Abuluya has also said that he had paid January and February, 2022 salaries to teachers and other staff of the school for motivate and encourage them to pit in their best to enhance standard of education in the school.
He urged parents to continue to send their children and wards to the school to enable them benefit from the free education opportunity.
He also solicited for the support of all sons and daughters of Eggon nation in order to revive the Eggon Community Secondary School and to enable him succeed.
The president further urged the Eggon Nation to continue to remain united, embrace peace and tolerate one another in the interest of progress and development of Eggon nation and the state at large.
Also speaking in same vein, the former ECDA President, Pastor Wilberforce Alaku also urged Eggon nation to continue to unite and embrace peace for the overall development of Eggon nation and the state at large.
“Today, I have formerly handed over documents of ECDA to the new ECDA President ,” he said.
According.to reports, items handed over includes one computer, one printer, a Toyota High Lander SUV among others.
