Former Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, has urged wedded couples to show love, patience, understanding and embrace peace for their marriage to be successful.
The Former Speaker, Balarabe Abdullahi made the call during the wedding of the son of former member representing Toto/ Gadabuke constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly and the current Secretary, Nasarawa State Teacher’s Service Commission TSC, Hon Usman Labaran Shafa.
Shafa’s son ASI Usman Sunusi Mohammed (Ohikwo) married to Aisha Isah Usman in Kuru, Toto Local Government Area today.
Balarabe Abdullahi who stood in for the groom’s father congratulated the couple and urged them to embrace tolerance, forgiveness, respect, obedience, effective communication and understanding for their marriage to last.
Abdullahi also urged them not to allow third party interference in their marital affairs.
Mr Haruna Mohammed, a Stakeholder in Toto LGA stood in for the Bride’s father and prayed God to bless their marriage abundantly.
Hon Usman Labaran Shafa, the Secretary, Teacher’s Service Commission thanked God for the successful wedding of his son, and his wife.
” I want to congratulate my son and his wife on their successful marriage life
” My prayers is for God to protect, guide and bless their marriage abundantly,” he said
The TSC scribe also urged the couple to embrace good virtues of marriage which include love, peace, understanding, effective communities for their marriage to last.
Hon Shafa appreciated the former Speaker of the state legislature, Balarabe Abdullahi , the Chairman of Toto Local Government Area, Hon Aliyu Abdullahi Tashas and the State Commissioner for Health Dr Gaza Gwamna and other personalities and well wishers for attending the wedding and wished them safe journey to their various destinations.
Earlier, Mallam Abdullahi Ahmed, an Islamic Cleric from Toto announced payment of N100,000 as dowry and presentation of medical certificates.
The Cleric advised the couple to show love and understanding to each other in order to enjoy their marriage.
The Chief Imam from Toto also prayed for the nation’s unity, leaders, progress and development.
It would be reported that the wedding also featured reception and Sword Crossing at GSS Laminga, Nasarawa LGA to honour the groom, who is an Immigration Officer.
