“… as Toto LG Boss named Yourh Centre in Gadabuke after Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi… ”
Former Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, has commissioned a youth centre named after him in Gadabuke Development Area.
He also commission Supervisory Councillors Office Accommodation in Toto Local Government Area of the State all constructed by the Executive Chairman of the Area Abdullahi Aliyu Tashas.
The former Speaker while commissioning the Youth Centre and Supervisory Councillors Office Accommodation today called on the people of the area to pray and support the chairman of the council, Hon Aliyu Abdullahi Tashas to succeed in his remaining tenure in office.
He said that the youth centre would serve the people by promoting youth activities in the area.
The Speaker also underscored the importance of Supervisory Councillors Office Accommodation to the development of the area.
” It is my hope that this Youth Centre that I am going to commission and named after me ” Rt. Hon Ibrahim A Balarabe Youth Centre Gadabuke will serve the community and humanity in general
” It is also my hope that the Supervisory councillors office accommodation will go a long way in ensuring effective service delivery by supervisory councillors, ” the former Speaker said.
Balarabe Abdullahi commended Hon Tashas for building the youth centre and the building of the supervisory Councilors office accommodation.
” These projects that you build worth commendation and I urge you to continue in that direction as you are elected to serve the people
” You are one among the few local government Chairmen that people are appreciating their efforts
” As I used to say that there three judgements that await those holding political office, judgement of the people, judgement of posterity and judgement of God” he said.
He said that the LG boss has love and care for the people of Toto Local Government Area
” You have the love and care for Toto Local Government Area and it is our prayers that any one that will come and succeed you should also have the love and care for the people of Toto,” he said.
Also speaking, Dr. Gwamna Gaza, the Commissioner for Health appreciated the council boss for putting up the projects among other projects in the area.
He said that the projects have direct bearing on the lives of the people of the area.
The Commissioner also commended Hon Tasha for promoting peace as well as initiate people’s oriented projects in the area.
He appreciated Gov. Abdullahi Sule for his developmental strides and called on the people of the area to support the Governor to succeed.
Various Speakers during the commissioning described the Chairman, Toto LG as a silent achiever.
Earlier, Hon Abdullahi Aliyu Tasha, the Chairman of Toto Local Government Area said that he build the youth centre in order to promote youth activities in the area.
” Gadabuke has no youth centre, that was why I built a youth centre for the area,” he said.
The council boss said that he named the Youth Centre Gadabuke after the former Speaker to remember him at all times over his leadership qualities and good things he brought to the area.
” I named Youth Centre Gadabuke after the former Speaker, Rt. Hon Ibrahim A Balarabe as he is my mentor and he has contributed immensely to the development of Toto Local Government in general.
” I want to remember him for mentoring a lot of people including me and for his positive contributions to the development of Toto Local Government Area,” he said
Hon Tasha listed projects he executed in two years to include renovation of Toto Youth Centre, Umaisha Youth Centre, renovation of burnt Toto Guest House, construction of Soak Aways for Councillors Office, repair of police vehicle that falled inside Toto river.
Other projects executed are drainage at Tashara, drainage at Tudu Uku, building of retaining wall and decked drainage of Gadabuke police station, Kofa Toto drainage., Fixing of fourteen NEPA poles that fallen between Nakuse and kunke., Vigilante vehicles, grading of roads among others.
He said that his administration would continue to key into good projects that would have direct bearing on the lives of the people of the area.
The chairman appreciated the former Speaker for commissioning the projects and prayed God to bless him abundantly in his future political endeavours.
Besides, the Chairman called on the people of the area and the state at large to pray and support Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s administration to succeed.
