The Federal Government has announced a 50% electricity subsidy for public hospitals across the country.
Dr. Tunji Alausa, the Minister of State forHealth and Social Welfare, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday.
He said gesture was to reduce therunning costs of public hospitals and alleviate the financial burden of patients.
The minister was at the National Neo-Psychiatric Hospital in Barnawa, Kaduna, where he inaugurated the Electronic Health Records and Alternative Power Supply at the Lawal Jafaru lsah Emergency Complex.
He also inaugurated the solarization project at the dialysis unit which includes a solar-powered borehole and a 10.2KVA inverter with a lithium battery at the Abdulkareem Jika Yusuf COVID-19 Intervention Centre.
