Chief Isaac Kigbu, President, Eggon Youth Movement ( EYM) Worldwide has distributed wrappers to over 500 widows in Nasarawa State.
Kigbu while distributing the items to the widows in Lafia said that the gesture cut across widows of the three senatorial districts of the state.
He said that the distribution was part of his continued commitment to improve on the lives of the widows positively.
” I have distributed wrappers to widows in Keffi, Akwanga and Lafia zones respectively.
” The essence is to show love to the widows in order to improve on their standard of living,” he said.
Kigbu urged the widows not to lose focus over the death of their bread winners but to always have faith in God, adding that God gives lives and take at will.
He urged them to use the wrappers for the purpose they were meant for.
The president also advised them to continue to ensure proper upbringing of their children in a Godly way in their interest and for the overall development of the society.
Besides, he advised members of the association to continue to be law abiding, respect constituted authorities, live in peace and tolerate one another irrespective of their affiliations.
Also speaking, Mr Daniel Anyuabaga, the former President of the association and Rev. Akolo Luka, the Reverend in- charge of Evangelical Reform Church of Christ ( ERCC) Central Lafia Central commended the president for the gesture.
They have expressed their confidence in the ability of the associatoon’s president to take the association to the greater height.
Responding, Mrs Talatu Audu, a beneficiary appreciated Kigbu for the gesture and prayed God to guide, protect and bless him in his new office.
It would be reported that EYM National Executive members, EYM branch Chairmen and Secretaries, other stakeholders and other well wishers were present during the distribution.
