Mr John Mayaki, a Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has called on Nigerians to expect the gains and Return on investment (RoI) from President Bola Tinubu’s trip to the two-day Summit on New Global Financing Pact in Paris, France.
He said this in a statement and made available to newsmen on Sunday in Abuja.
Mayaki said the image of the country has rebounded tremendously abroad with the President’s several engagements, especially his meeting with Nigerians in France.
“President Bola Tinubu in his three-day trip to France, met with the President, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development who affirmed that it would be mistake if the bank doesn’t invest in Nigeria, after considering six potential economies for investment.
“The President also met with the Chairman of Indorama Polyester Industries, the largest independent polymer producer in the world.
“Besides, President Tinubu also got briefings from President of Africa Export-Import Bank who assured Nigeria of more support now that new policies are in place.
“In addition, the President received briefings from the President of Africa Development Bank who assured Nigeria of more support especially with AfDB president’s bison of setting up a youth entrepreneurship bank in Nigeria.
“This bank will provide credit, skills and other support for young Nigerians,” he said.
He added that within three days, the President had received executives of Airbus/ATR, President of Swiss Confederation and President of Benin Republic for bilateral and economic discussions.
“In all of these, a high return on investment is expected and Nigerians would be better for it.
“The President is the Chief Diplomat and we should be proud that he was busy marketing the country at regional and international levels with great assurances from investors they they can’t do without Nigeria,” he added.
