The Emir of Bwari, His Royal Highness, Awwal Musa Ijakoro, has applauded the Rotary Club for its humanitarian services rendered to the less privileged in the society.

He said this when members of six branches of the club paid him a courtesy visit on Thursday in Abuja.

The clubs include the Rotary Club of Abuja Federal, Rotary Club of Gwarinpa, Rotary Club of Kubwa, Rotary Club of Bwari, Rotary Club of Kubwa Gateway and Rotary Club of Gwarinpa New Age.

The Emir however expressed his readiness to support the club in their projects and charged them to do more for the benefit of mankind.

Dr Patrick Ezie, President, Rotary Club of Abuja Federal and leader of the delegation, appreciated the Emir for his hospitality and readiness to always support the club activities.

He added that the visit was to accentuate the traditional ruler with activities of the club as regards its fight against polio.

“Nigeria has been certified polio free but that does not mean that we would end our fight against it

“As such, we would be having a programme later in the month to raise awareness on the need to sustain the record we have achieved.

“And we will be starting from your community, that is why we are hear for your blessings and support,” he said.
