” ••• I will give more scholarship slots to Tiv people, others, Abuluya assures•••”
The President, Eggon Cultural and Development Association ( ECDA) Worldwide, Mr Mandy David Abuluya, has bagged Mure U Mbayev Tiv Mba Hen, Nacabs Polytechnic Akwanga, Nasarawa State.
The traditional title meaning ” The Shield of Tiv.”
Abuluya received the award today at the graduation of Community of Tiv Students ( CTS), Nacabs Polytechnic Akwanga in collaboration with Tiv Development Association ( TIDA) , Akwanga Branch, Nasarawa State.
Abuluya, while receiving the award assured of his continued commitment to give Tiv people more scholarship slots to study in his institution.
” I am overwhelmed with this award as the traditional title will spur me to  do more.
” I will continue to be your shield as I will give you more scholarship slots to Tiv people to study in my institution.
” This is to enable children of the less privileged ones have access to education,” he said.
Abuluya, who is the Chairman, Police Community Relations Committee ( PCRC), Nasarawa State urged Tiv and other Nigerians to continue to live in unity and peace irrespective of their affiliations.
On his part, Comrade Peter Ahemba, SSA to Gov. Abdullahi Sule on Public Affairs while presenting the award to Abuluya on behalf of CTS and TIDA said it was based on Abuluya’s track records to humanity and contribution to the development of Tiv nation.
He commended Abuluya for offering scholarship to Tiv people and other people to study in the institution.
Also Speaking, Mr Tashi Ageba Tashi, Deputy Registrar, College of Education Akwanga, who is the Chairman of the occasion appreciated Abuluya for awarding scholarship to Tiv people in the stq
The Deputy Registrar also commended Abuluya for his efforts and contributions in developing the education sector in the state.
Earlier, Mr Antwar Sesugh Francis, the Chairman of Community of Tiv Students ( CTS) said the award given to Abuluya was based on his contributions to the development of Tiv nation and the society at large.
” It is a small token of our appreciation for your positive impact you have made on our community.
” Sir, you are a beacon of hope  and opportunity for our youth,” he said
He assured Abuluya of their support at all times.
