Akilaah Solutions and its parent company, MAJ Fintech Group, have emerged winners of the 7th Nigerian National Cooperative Awards, clinching all three categories for which they were nominated.
Chief Executive Officer of the company, Mrs Amenan Kouakou, said this in a statement on Monday in Abuja.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that digitisation has taken the centre stage in the global scheme of things with the Federal Government encouraging public entities and the private sector to embrace the new order.
She said that the triple victory coincided with a major policy announcement by the Federal Government, ranking digitisation as the center of Nigeria’s Cooperative Reform Programme for 2026.
Kouakou said that during the national symposium, the Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security, Alhaji Aliyu Abdullahi, announced that digitalisation would be one of the pillars of the proposed reform of the Nigerian cooperative movement.
“The announcement positions Akilaah Solutions, the award-winning cooperative digital ecosystem, as the leading platform capable of driving the nationwide digital transformation agenda,
“Akilaah emerges as the most advanced, field-tested, and Nigeria-ready platform, to support the reform’s implementation across all states,” she said.
Kouakou quoted Abdullahi as saying that Akilaah already delivers tools which mirrors government’s reform blueprint, including: digital savings and loans, biometric member onboarding, e-voting and governance modules.
She further said other tools included real-time visibility from local cooperatives to apex and federal levels, welfare and subsidy distribution, internal marketplace for cooperative producers and MSMEs and automated reporting for regulators.
“These features make Akilaah the strongest candidate for national deployment, offering an immediate pathway for the Federal Government to digitise over 30,000 cooperatives and millions of members.
“The triple awards, reinforces Akilaah’s leadership at the Lagos ceremony, which recognitions included the most Innovative company of the year.
“The awards validate Akilaah’s technical excellence, community impact, and its pivotal role in shaping a modern cooperative economy,” Kouakou said.
She further stated that Akilaah will continue to innovate for Nigeria and for Africa.
