A Cleric, Pastor Tunde Benjamins-Laniyi, of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), the Throne Room, Transcorp has called on God to bless President Muhammadu Buhari, his Ministers and other political leaders to salvage the country from its many challenges.
Benjamins-Laniyi made the called in an interview with Newsmen during the Church’s Global Prayer Walk on Sunday in Abuja.
He said with the recent challenges bedeviling, the country, devine intervention had now become a necessity.
“This is a mandate given by God. RCCG in over 190 countries in the world are to observe this Walk and prayer for revival in the land that would bring in greater harvest to the kingdom.
“We also pray for our President, Buhari, his Ministers, the Legislators, Governors and other political leaders. May God strengthen and empower them to make Nigeria a glorious place.
“Nigeria is a very good country, we pray that let the Eagle fly again and we are trusting God that Nigeria will succeed again,” he said.
The Cleric who is also in charge of RCCG’s Youth Province 11, composed of Abuja, Niger, Kogi, Nasarawa, Kwara and Benue, said that it was a good thing that God gave wisdom to medical practitioners to produce vaccines against COVID-19.
He explained that all human have challenges in life but that God would give each and everyone a breakthrough.
Similarly, his wife, Mrs Dayo Benjamins-Laniyi said, the Walk was first of its kind in the over 190 countries that RCCG have branches.
No fewer than 500 members of the RCCG, Throne Room participated in the Walk that took them from Transcorp Hilton to Federal Ministry of Justice and back to Transcorp.
During the about one hour walk, officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps and Nigeria Police were seen controlling the traffic on the roads. (NAN)
