Mr Danladi Jatau, member representing Kokona West Constituency at the Nasarawa House of Assembly, has  distributed 200 bags of rice, N1million and a cow  to his constituents to celebrate Christmas.

Jatau (APC), Chairman, House Committee on Public Complaints, Petitions and Security said he made the distribution in Kokona Local Government Area of the state.

He said that the gesture was borne out of his desire to improve the standard of living of the people of his constituency during and after the Christmas and New year celebrations.

The lawmaker assured the people of his constituency to continue embarking on programmes that would improve on their lives, and that he was practicising generousity in line with Biblical preaching.

“This gesture is aimed at improving the standard of living of my constituents during and after Christmas and New year celebrations.

“I want to assure the people of my constituency that I will continue to initiate policies and programmes that will affect their lives positively.

” As you are aware of what I have done and still doing to change on your standard of living positively and I assure you of more dividends of democracy, ” he said.

Jatau urged his constituents to emulate the virtues of Jesus Christ by living in unity, peace and be their brother’s keepers at all times for development to thrive.

He also solicited for their support in continuing to deliver quality representation at the assembly.

The lawmaker also called on the people to give their maximum support to Gov. Abdullahi Sule beyond 2023 in order to enjoy more dividends of democracy.

Speaking on behalf  of the  beneficiaries, the APC Chairman, Kokona Local Government Area, Chief Terry Jacob-Badu appreciated Jatau for the gesture and called for its sustenance.

The News Agency of Nigeria ( NAN) reports that Deputy Chairman of Kokona Local Government Area, Mr James Musa-Akpomoshi was among those that attended the distribution exercise. (NAN)
