” As Gov. Sule Special Adviser, Hon Lamus urges delegates to shun money- bag politicians during party primaries
Special Adviser to Gov. Abdullahi Sule on Special Duties, Hon Murtala Lamus, has urged stakeholders and Executive members of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Wamba Local Government Area of Nasarawa State to give their overwhelming support to Gov. Abdullahi Sule and Sen. Godiya Akwashiki (APC- Nasarawa North) to succeed.
Hon Lamus made the call during an Expanded APC stakeholders and Executive members meeting of Wamba Local Government Area of the State.
The special adviser said that both Gov. Sule and Sen. Akwashiki have done a lot in the area, hence the need for stakeholders and delegates to give their overwhelming support to them to succeed.
It would be reported that Hon Lamus moved a motion reguesting show of support from stakeholders which was seconded in a voice votes by APC Chairman, Wamba Local Government Area, Ibrahim Agyo and other executive members of the 10 electoral wards in the area.
Hon Lamus, who went memory lane to outline the numerous achievements of both Gov. Sule and Sen. Akwashiki in the last few years in terms of infrastructural development among other gestures, also said that the projects embarked upon by the duo in the area have impacted positively on the lives of their people.
The special adviser said that both Gov. Sule and Sen. Akwashiki are doing well in their respective offices.
He explained that Wamba Local Government Area has benefitted from the duo in the area of construction of rural roads, healthcare centres and services as well as rehabilitation of primary and secondary schools among other developmental strides.
The Special Adviser also advised delegates to choose credible aspirants and to shun money- bag politicians, who will intice them with money during the party primaries scheduled for next month.
Hon Lamus said,” We ( delegates) have been voting people based on money, they will use money to share to delegates.
” And delegates believes in highest bidder, so at the end of the day, they will got their mandates and avoid them.
” That is why I am urging them not to vote people because of money but they should only vote credible leaders,” he said.
