Senator Ireti Kingibe, the Senator elect of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) under the Labour Party (LP) has promised an inclusive governance and prioritize the interest of the indigenes as she resumes work in the office.
The Senator made the promise in an interview with newsmen during her swearing-in ceremony as FCT Senator held in Abuja on Tuesday.
According to Ireti, she is committed to ensuring that no one is left behind in the governance structure, adding that both soft and hard infrastructure would receive adequate attention.
“I am bringing goodwill, sincerity, and effective representation in the FCT. I want to make a difference to the lives of the residents of the FCT.
“My agenda is to go back to the blackboard, strategise better and find effective means of achieving my campaign promises through sustainable development programmes.
“I will look at what the problem of the FCT indigenes are, as I have started another round of consultations and they will tell me what there problems are,” she said.
However, she added that other social vices affecting women would also be tackled. (NAN)
