International Coordinator, Graceful Ageing Fellowship (GRAF), Sen. Eze Ajoku, has identified good food, exercises and mental health as secrets of enjoying graceful Aging, longer and healthier life.

Ajoku made the assertion at the 12th Anniversary of Graceful Ageing Fellowship (GRAF) on Saturday in Abuja.

He said that healthy ageing is a personal thing no one could chose for any one.

“What we eat and bad food cause diseases and do not provide good nutrients to the body.

“What we do with the body, working the body to strengthen its organs and improving blood circulation, strengthens the body and eliminate toxins from our bodies or rest to rejuvenate the body.

“When we look at our mental health, the power of the mind or our dominant thoughts will rule us,” he said.

The GRAF coordinator said that secrets of ageing were embedded in lifestyles of the three dimensions of man – body, soul and spirit.

He, however, emphasised the need for people, both old and young, to make a choice that would guarantee long and healthy life for them.

“Healthy Ageing is a personal task that no one else can choose for you.

“You have to choose to live with habits that you can grow with by way of lifestyle changes that can help you age gracefully,” he said.

Ajoku, who expressed gratitude to God for granting him and his colleagues the grace to live long and healthy, said the fellowship had made impact in the lives of many.

“We are grateful of the impact GRAF has made in the lives of both our older persons and youths.

“We have promoted healthy lifestyle changes that have fundamental impact on our lives, helping us to age gracefully, avoiding unwarranted deaths etc.,” he said.

Earlier, the Chairman of the occasion, Gen. Chris Garba, (rtd), thanked GRAF for the successful milestone.

Garba extolled the leadership qualities of Sen. Ajoku, describing him as a man of success and hard work

“I want to thank GRAF for the milestone they have recorded so far.

“I want to credit it to the distinguished Senator Eze Ajoku, it is because of him that I am here, I have great respect for him,” he said.

 The Graceful Ageing Fellowship (GRAF) was founded 12 years ago by Sen. Ajoku to help people, both young and old, attain old age in good health.
