The Oveysha Foundation has restated its commitment to continue to assist widows, orphans and the less privileged in Nasarawa State.

Mr Oveysha Bashiya, the founder of the NGO, gave the assurance when he visited widows and other indigent people in the area on Saturday in Akwanga.

He said that the visit was to identify with the widows and put smiles in their faces in order to change their lives positively.

According to him, this is to improve on their standard of living and for the overall development of the society.

”I embarked on this visit in order to identify with widows and less privileged ones among other people.

”And to put smiles in their faces by giving them money and clippers to the widows, sick and barbers, respectively, in order to improve on their standard of living positively.

”As you are all aware, what I have done in the area of education, health, agriculture, payment of school fees, hospital bills, empowerment programmes, among others, to the widows, orphans among other people.

”I want to assure that I will continue to key into good policies and programmes that will have direct bearing on the lives of the widows, orphans, other less privileged amongst our people,” he said.

Bashayi urged the widows to continue to remain focused and be prayerful for the progress and development of their families and for the overall development of the country.

The founder also advised the barbers to use the clippers judiciously to improve on their standard of living.

Besides, he urged parents to prioritise the education of their children.

He further urged widows, orphans and other Nigerians to remain peaceful, be law abiding and tolerate one another irrespective of their ethnicity and religious affiliation.

Responding on behalf of other beneficiaries, Mrs Theresa Joseph, commended the foundation for putting smiles on their faces and prayed God to replenish their stock.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the founder also donated undisclosed amount to the widows and patients, while clippers were donated to the barbers.
