“••••• As Education Committee urges release of funds to contractor to complete the project••••”
Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has commended Gov. Abdullahi Sule for reviewing the contract sum for the renovation of the Institute of Leather and Science Technology, Doma for its smooth take off.
The Chairman, House Committee on Education, Science and Technology, Hon. Abel Yakubu Bala gave the commendation when the management of Tertiary and Technical Education appeared before the committee on their budget performance for the second quarter of 2026 today in Lafia..
The lawmaker said that upward review of the contract would provide quality and standard work in the institute.
Hon Abel also commended the contractor handling the work for a job well done.
The committee chairman called for the release of funds to the contractor to enable him complete the renovation work.
” I want to appeal to His Excellency, Gov. Abdullahi Sule to release the remaining funds for the fencing and renovation work as well other work at the institute.
” As the institute is critical to the development of the state and the country at large,” he said.
Hon Abel also called for the construction of hostels and Tannery in the institute for the smooth take off of the institute.
Earlier, Hon Muhammad Habeeb Nagogo, Commissioner for Tertiary and Technical Education appreciated the committee for their concern for education sector in the state.
He also commended Gov. Abdullah Sule for prioritizing education sector in the state.
