Lawmakers of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, have declared support for the party’s arrangements for Executive members of the party at all levels to emerge through consensus.
Hon. Suleiman Yakubu Azara, the Majority Leader of the House stated this while briefing Newsmen shortly after their 9th Caucus meeting at the State Assembly complex in Lafia today Tuesday.
It was reported that the 9th Caucus meeting of the APC Lawmakers in Nasarawa State House of Assembly held at the office of the Majority Leader had in attendance the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Dr. Danladi Jatau and his Deputy Rt. Hon. Muhammad Adamu Oyanki among other APC Lawmakers.
The Majority Leader of the House said that the declared their support for the party’s arrangements because the consensus would reduce tension and crisis among party faithfuls hence the need of their resolution in that direction.
Azara also expressed confidence on the party leadership at all levels.
He said that the meeting was among other things to unite and discuss way forward for the party’s progress beyond 2027 in the State.
“We have discussed issues of unity, peace and progress of the party. We are united and we are going to remain united, loyal to the party in the State.
“We have also declared support for party’s arrangements on consensus regarding the upcoming congresses, what our leaders and party stakeholders discussed and agreed in the last meeting in Government House over the upcoming congresses was the position we have adopted.
“We have agreed with the party’s position on consensus in the interest of unity, peace, progress and development of the party” he said.
“We have confidence in our party leadership” He added.
Hon. Azara also assured that the APC lawmakers would continue to synergy with stakeholders and members of the party for the victory of the party beyond 2027 in the State.
He assured of their continued readiness and commitment to embrace team work for the progress of the House.
“We will continue to work in unity and synergize with stakeholders and government for the progress of the State” he said.
