A Christina Cleric in Nasarawa State, Rev. Micha Allu, has urged Christians and other people to live holy and useful lives in order to inherit the kingdom of God.
This, he said when people live righteous life and lived lasting legacy especially training their children and wards in the right path through religious and education, the society will be better for it and when they are no more what they will leave behind will continue to be blessings to them and humanity.
The Cleric, who is the Reverend in Charge of ERCC Alushi-Wachuku made the call while presiding over the Funeral Mass of Retired ASP Peter Alumatyen Kudje at ERCC Alushi-Wachuku, Nassarawa Eggon LGA today Friday.
It would be reported that the deceased was father of Mr David Aluma and Peter Aluma both staff of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly.
The clergy took his reading from the book of Revelation 3: 14-22 with the topic ” Listen to What the Spirit Tells You “
The Cleric stressed the need for genuine repentance and fellowship with God.
” In whatever situation you find yourself, you should not give up and you should be committed to what you are doing and to God’s work.
” We should be sincere and live useful lives and don’t be Christl ess”
Allu said that if Christians and other Nigerians lived an examplary lives, it would go a long way in promoting peace in the society.
He also urged Christians to embrace forgiveness as well as live in unity, peace and tolerance with one another.
He said that death is inevitable while calling on Christians to shun sinful acts in order to inherit the kingdom of God.
” Prepare so that the day that death knocks at your door, you will enter the kingdom of heaven as death is inevitable,” he said.
The cleric urged the family and the people of Alushi community to bear the irreplaceable lost.
He also prayed God to forgive the deceased of his shortcomings and grant him eternal rest.
In their testimonies, Mr Alexander Aluma, the deceased Younger brother and Rev. Michael Tongov, Reverend in Charge of ERCC Bethel, Bukan Sidi, Lafia said that late Peter lived a fulfilled and accomplished life while on earth.
They also said that the family, the church and the society would miss the advice of late Peter.
They prayed God to grant his soul eternal rest.
It would be reported that the funeral service had in attendance clergies, the Deputy Clerk Finance of the State Assembly Alh. Haruna Alkali, and that Works Barr. Rikko as well as Mr Suleiman Danladi Gyabo Deputy Director Administration among other Staff and sympathizers.
It would also be reported that Retired ASP Peter Alumatyen Kudje died at the aged of 89, left to mourn him are his children, grand children, great grand children and relatives among others.
