Rev. Charles Otasowie Ehanire, widely known by his stage name Prince Charles and affectionately called Mr. O.T., is a dynamic gospel singer, songwriter, music producer, and ordained minister based in the United States of America.
A native of Edo State, Nigeria, he was born on Saturday, September 23, 1972, at 9:40 AM in St. Philomena Hospital, Benin City.
Born into the polygamous family of Osaigbovo Asemota Ehanire, Charles was raised in a diverse cultural environment.
In 1979, at the age of seven, he was taken to his mother’s village, Iguoloinisi, where he lived until 1986. During those formative years, he not only attended primary school but also participated in farming, gaining both education and life skills.
He continued his academic journey at Immaculate Conception College in Benin City, graduating in 1991.
A man of many talents, Charles began driving as early as 1984 and was handling 18-wheelers and Caterpillars by 1988, long before he had even reached adulthood.
His spiritual journey began unexpectedly. While in his mother’s village, Charles had a divine encounter, Jesus appeared to him. At the time, he had no understanding of Christianity, but that moment became the spiritual seed that would later flourish into a powerful calling.
In 2000, he began his music ministry, merging his God-given talents with a deep passion for worship. His powerful voice, anointed lyrics, and vibrant stage presence have since made him a beloved figure in the global gospel music scene.
He was ordained as a pastor by his spiritual father, Bishop Sunday Ashiedu, and now serves as the General Overseer and Founder of God’s Love Divine Favor Ministry Worldwide.
Rev. Charles is not only a minister of the gospel but also a visionary entrepreneur and community builder.
He is the Chief Executive Officer of Primero Dios International, with active operations in Nigeria and South Africa.
He is also the founder and CEO of Prince Charles Clinic in Edo State and the Prince Charles Group of Schools International, where academic excellence meets moral discipline.
On June 26, 2008, Rev. Charles made the bold decision to relocate to the United States with just $17 in his pocket, a testament to his faith and resilience.
Today, by the grace of God, he is a testimony of divine favor and success, thriving in ministry, music, and multiple business ventures, including real estate development in Lagos, Nigeria, with a focus on the sales of landed properties.
A black belt in Taekwondo and a green belt in Judo, Rev. Charles is a disciplined sportsman who enjoys games such as Scrabble and darts.
Beyond his personal accomplishments, he is a devoted family man, married to his beautiful wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Oghomwen Ehanire. They are blessed with three children:Oghosa Chelsea, Iwinosa Charles Jr. Ehanire and Paris Iyosayi Ehanire
