Coalition of Women Groups from Akwanga LGA in the Northern Senatorial Zone of Nasarawa State, has initiated a political movement for the re-election of the only female legislator in the State, Hon. Hajarat Danyaro Ibrahim (APC Nasarawa Central) come 2027 over what they described as her outstanding and remarkable performance.

The women groups, who acknowledged and appreciated Hon. Danyaro’s resilience and doggedness in fighting for the women during the just concluded LG election in the State that saw to their remarkable achievement, advocated for more women in Governor Sule’s next cabinet.

The women groups led by the Deputy Speaker of Akwanga LG legislative arm and former Deputy Chairman of the area, Hon. Rabi Akwanga paid a solidarity visit to Hon. Danyaro in Lafia, the state capital Friday.

She said they visit was to appreciate her for the great effort during the last LG election in the State which saw almost 13 women elected into Councilor positions against the previous four with many others gotten various positions at the local councils ranging from clerks to secretaries among others urging her to keep the flag flying.

They women commended the lawmaker for making a difference in the State Assembly both at the constituency level and at the hallowed chamber despite being the alone female in the legislative institution while praying God to continue to be with her at all times.

They campaigned for her re-election come 2027 to enable her continue to serve the people better just as they make a case for more women in both elective and appointed positions.

Responding, Hon. Hajarat Danyaro Ibrahim, who is the Chairman House Committee on Women Affairs appreciated the women for the solidarity visit and reassured them of her commitment and zeal to continue to champion the struggle for women emancipation and good governance at all times.

She appreciated the support she was getting from the women folks across the State despite being from the Western Senatorial Zone of the State just as she appreciated her constituents for the mandate, support and understanding given to her, promising never to let them down.

Hon. Hajarat Danyaro Ibrahim called on her visitors and the entire people of the state to continue to support the administration of Gov. Abdullahi Sule to enable him succeed.
