Nasarawa State House of Assembly Committee on Works, has urged contractors handling various road projects across the State to adhere strictly to their project specifications for the overall development of the State.
The Chairman of the Committee, Hon. Suleiman Yakubu Azara made the call when the contractors appeared before the committee today in Lafia.
Hon. Azara said that the committee decided to invite the contractors to hear from them on the level of their project executions.
It would be reported that the contractors that appeared before the committee Wednesday include contractors handling the  rehabilitation and upgrading of 48.7KM Toto/Umaisha Road, Construction of 41.9KM Nunku- Agyaga- Rinze road, construction of 5KM Gurku Rotary Facility to Brekete Smart City Estate Road, construction of Storm Water Control and Access Road in Karu LG and construction of Mada Station Link 3.6KM Road to Kwandere-Keffi road.
Hon. Azara said that the House will not fold its hands to watch contractors sabotaging the good intention of Gov. Abdullahi Sule in road development in the State.Kwandere-Keffiee chairman urged the contractors to go back to their project sites and do the needful according to their specifications.
” We did not call you to witch hunt you but to ensure that you adhere strictly to your project specifications.
” This is in the interest of development of the State.
” We are also happy with the construction of Mada Station Link 3.6KM Road to Kwandere-Keffi road and we advise the contractor to sustain the spirit” he said.
He also urged the contractors to deliver quality jobs.
Besides, he commended Gov. Abdullahi Sule for awarding road contracts across the state.
Responding, Mr Sule Wada, Contract Manager of Ceezali LTD for the  Construction of 5KM Gurku Rotary Facility to Brekete Smart City Estate Road and Construction of Storm Water Control and Access Road in Karu LGC, Mr Wille Gu, General Manager of Sunlink Construction LTD for the construction of 41.9KM Nunku-Agyaga-Rinze road and the Contractor for the upgrading of 48.7KM Toto/Umaisha Road, all assured of delivering their jobs according to specifications.
They commended the committee for doing what is expected and assured of quality jobs.
The contractor for the construction of Mada Station Link 3.6KM Road to Kwandere-Keffi road appreciated the committee for scoring its project high.
