Rt. Hon. Muhammad Adamu Oyanki, the Deputy Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has distributed 750 bags of 10kg of rice and N2000 each to 750 people of his constituency in order to improve on their standard of living.
The Deputy Speaker made the distribution to 750 people from the six electoral wards of his constituency during the second phase of his palliaitive distribution in Alagye village and Doma town respectively today.
The Deputy Speaker, who is representing Doma North Constituency said that the gesture was to alleviate the sufferings posed by the economic meltdown in the country.
He urged the beneficiaries to use the rice for the purpose it was meant for.
The Deputy Speaker said that for those, who are not captured, he has designed a template to ensure that all his constituents are carried along.
He assured of his continued good and sound representation at the state legislature.
Also speaking, the Majority Leader, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Suleiman Yakubu Azara, who commended Adamu Oyanki for having the thought of his constituents at this critical time.
He called on the people of the constituency to continue to support the deputy speaker to succeed.
In an interview, some of the beneficiaries appreciated the Deputy Speaker for coming to their aid in order to improve on their standard of living.
