Gov. Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, has assured of his administration’s commitment to bring the perpetrators of the killing of three soldiers, Village Head of Katakpa, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq among others to book to serve as deterrent to others and restore peace in the area.
Gov. Sule stated this while hosting Toto Local Government Community comprised of Egbira, Gade and Gbagyi in Government House Lafia today.
The Governor appreciated the people of Toto for identifying with him over his Supreme Court victory.
He assured of his readiness to continue to do his best for Toto people in the area of project executions, peace among others.
” Let me condole the royal fathers and the people of Toto LGA over the killing of the Village Head of Katakpa among other innocent people in Katakpa community.
” By the Grace of God , the government will see to the end of it,” he said.
The Governor said that his government has done so much in the area of security and wondered why some people don’t want peace to reign in Toto LGA.
Sule assured of his commitment to establish military base in Katakpa community to forestall further break down of law and order and for peace to reign in the area and its environs.
He called on the people to remain calm and committed to constituted authorities just as he hailed the unity and peaceful disposition of the people of the area irrespective of their political and ethnic differences.
Also Speaking, Barr Labaran Magaji the State Commissioner for Justice and his Health counterpart Dr Gaza Gwamna, Barr Dikko Haske, Legal Practitioner, Dr Feisal Shuaib, the Immediate past Chief Executive Officer, National Primary Health Care Development Agency, all showers encomium on Gov. Sule for having Toto Local Government Area at his heart.
They said that the visit was not only to congratulate Governor Sule on his Supreme Court victory but to also appreciate him for the good work he is doing for the people of Toto Local Government Area.
They have also appealed to the Governor to complete the ongoing rehabilitation of Toto/ Umaisha road among other projects as well as take urgent steps to address the security challenges facing the area.
The visit had in attendance sons and daughters of Toto LG within and outside the State, traditional rulers and village heads of various tribes in the area led by Ohimege Opanda, HRH Alh Usman Abdullahi, immediate past Speaker of the State Assembly Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, Hon. Members of the State House of Assembly from the area, Hon. Muhammed Garba Isimbabi and Hon. Abdullahi Sa’ad, the LG Chairman Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Tashas and other political office holders among others.
