The newly appointed Director-General (D-G)of National Arts for Arts and Culture (NCAC) Mr Obi Asika is yet to resume office one month after of his appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu
Recall that Tinubu had on January 12, 2024 announced the appointment of Asika as the new D-G of NCAC together wit other heads of agency under the Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy.
However, it was alleged Mr Olusegun Rusewe was yet to vacate the seat as Director General since the announcement of his replacement.
Recently, it was gathered that Runsewe attended the 2024 Chinese New Year Temple fair where he delivered a speech in the capacity of D-G of NCAC .
A staff of NCAC who pleaded anonymity said workers in the council have been lamenting that the Runsewe has refused to vacate the office, even after the President Tinubu appointed a replacement.
