Rev. Fr. Lawrence Soja- Anyembugu, the Parish Priest of St John’s Catholic Church, Awe, Nasarawa State, on Tuesday called for prayers and support for the new Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa State,
Shehu Nadada ,to enable him succeed.
Soja- Anyembugu, made the call while speaking with newsmen after his visit to the new CP in Lafia .
According to him , every leader needs the prayers and support of the people to succeed,
Anyembugu said that he was at new CP’s office to congratulate him on his assumption of office and expressed his support for him.
” I am here to congratulate the new Commissioner of Police, Shehu Umar Nadada on his assumption of office as the CP in the state.
” I want to assure the new CP of my prayers and support to enable him succeed
” I also want to use this medium to call on the people of Nasarawa State to pray and support the new CP to succeed in promoting unity and peace in the state.,” he said.
Soja- Anyembugu also assured the new CP of effective synergy with him in order to promote peace in the state.
” You see, peace is priceless and non-negotiable and it is a necessary requirement for the development of any society.
” We will collaborate with the CP and other security agencies in order to promote peace in the state,” he said.
He expressed optimism that the new CP would perform well in the state.
The catholic priest also called on the people of the state to be law -abiding, respect constituted authorities live in peace, embrace love and tolerance in the interest of development.( NAN)(
