A stalwart of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Nasarawa State, Alhaji Bala Mohammed Al-Makura, has expressed profound appreciation to the people of Kwandare community for endorsing him to contest for the seat of Lafia/Obi Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections.
Bala Al-Makura, a former member representing the constituency in the House of Representatives, gave the commendation at an event held in Kwandare, Lafia Local Government Area, on Sunday.
According to him, the endorsement has demonstrated his purposeful leadership while at the House of Representatives and his positive contributions to the development of Kwandare community and the constituency at large.
“I wish to express my sincere gratitude to the people of Kwandare community and its environs for endorsing me to serve them at the National Assembly come 2027. I am grateful for the endorsement and for what they have done for me.
“I thank them for their love, care, and concern, and for calling me to serve them in the National Assembly come 2027,” he stated further.
Earlier, Hon. Jummai Al-Hassan, former Sole Administrator of Lafia North Administrative Area Council, endorsed Bala Al-Makura for the legislative seat.
“Today, we, the Kwandare community, have endorsed Hon. Bala Muhammad Al-Makura for the seat of Lafia/Obi Federal Constituency come 2027 because he has been helping people and has brought development to our constituency,” she said.
In a related development, the contribution of the Sangarin Kwandare, HRH Alhaji Ahmadu Abdul Kura Al-Makura, in promoting peace and unity in the state has been underscored.
This assertion was made during an event organized to honor the royal father in Kwandare.
The event, organized by the Eggon APC Grassroot Mobilization Network, honored Sangarin Kwandare, Alhaji Ahmadu Abdul Kura Al-Makura, for his efforts in uniting the people of his domain and bringing growth and development to Kwandare and the state in general.
Speaking shortly after receiving the Award of Excellence, presented by the Eggon APC Grassroot Mobilization Network for his contribution to peace building, Sangarin Kwandare, Alhaji Ahmadu Gwani Abdul Kura Almakura, who spoke through the state Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, Alhaji Muhammad Maikwarya, said the traditional council of Kwandare, through the Sangarin, will continue to work towards fostering peace, taking into account that no society can succeed without peace.
The Sangarin Kwandare, who appreciated the Eggon APC Grassroot Mobilization Network for the honor, promised to partner the network to promote peaceful coexistence among diverse nationalities in the area.
Also speaking during the event, Alhaji Bala Muhammad Al-Makura and the women leader of the group commended the Eggon APC Grassroot Mobilization Network for identifying with the traditional council of Kwandare and assured them of robust synergy to improve the living standards of the people in the area.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman of Eggon APC Grassroot Mobilization Network, Yohanna Zakka, noted that the event was geared towards identifying with the royal father for his peace-building efforts and assured the monarch of the Network’s support at all times.
